This is one the advertising strategies that can be very effective because if you act you feel like you did something worthwhile. Stores will say that if you buy their product they will donate a percentage to a charitable organization. Advertisers also take this overboard at times by using words that make you feel you are special when in actuality you are just another customer. For example, when a company places an ad that says, "We want to hear from you." Well, that may or may not be true-it depends on what you will tell them but they relayed a message in attempt to make you feel important.

Word of mouth is the most effective of the advertisement strategies. If one of your customers is happy then they will tell people but now there will be an element of trust included. Testimonials are more effective in advertisement strategies when the one doing the testimonial is well known. Testimonials from strangers tend not to be as effective because the element of trust if hard to build in.

This is one of the advertisement strategies that attempt to saturate your mind quickly with message on the basis that you will retain it in your mind longer. For example, in the stadiums of many soccer sporting events, you will see electronic displays of a product logo repeated around the length of the perimeter of the field. You'll see those same commercials on television over and over. On the internet, some people try to accomplish this by using spam advertisements to your mailbox. Don't do that. Spam is not perceived well by the consumers you target.
